The form of Dimidium comes from an egg — something familiar, natural, and full of life.

Placed in a home, it feels slightly out of place in the best way. We do not expect to see an egg resting on the floor, glowing softly from within. That small moment of surprise gives the object a quiet, almost surreal presence.

The warm light comes from the yolk-like center, bringing a sense of life and energy to the room. Dimidium is not designed to feel cold or distant. Its shape is simple, but its character is natural, warm, and a little unexpected.

How It Works

On a Surface
Place Dimidium on a bedside table, shelf, or desk for a soft evening glow.

On a Metal Surface
Use the built-in magnet to attach it to your refrigerator or another suitable metal surface.

Bring your hand close to the yolk, and the light responds.

EL27 is not waterproof. Keep it away from water, rain, steam, and other liquids. For indoor use only.

Use the Right Charger

Charge with a standard 5V ⎓ 1A USB-C power source. Do not use high-power or high-voltage fast chargers unless they are confirmed to be compatible.

Avoid High Temperatures

Do not leave or use the product inside a car, near a window in direct sunlight, or in any high-temperature environment.

Clean Gently

Do not use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive materials. Wipe the surface gently with a clean, dry glasses cloth.

Story

Dimidium means “half” in Latin.

The name began with a simple idea. I wanted a small studio where I could make the things I liked. After studying sculpture in Italy, I started working from a space that was half my mother’s clothing shop and half my own studio. The name came from that shared space.

I have always been interested in objects with a sense of humor and a little imagination. I grew tired of seeing products that felt overly geometric, mechanical, and distant. They may be well designed, but I wanted to make something warmer — objects that feel more natural, personal, and alive.

Dimidium is a place for making those things.
